Why Los Cabos matters in 2026

The 59th Baja 1000 brings a start-and-finish loop to San José del Cabo. SCORE calls it “Cabo to Cabo”: the first Baja 1000 held entirely within Baja California Sur.

The full event name is BFGoodrich Tires 59th SCORE Baja 1000 Presented by SYLVANIA OFF ROAD. Trucks, motorcycles, quads, UTVs and other off-road classes compete under SCORE’s rules.

The route

Cabo to Cabo.
A peninsula in one loop.

The preliminary course leaves San José del Cabo toward the East Cape, then reaches the La Paz area and the Comondú region before returning south along the Pacific side through the Todos Santos and Pescadero area.

That geography makes a city-based visit very different from following a race team. For spectators, choose an authorized viewing area and plan the return trip before leaving town.

The map is SCORE’s preliminary 2026 course, preserved without modification. It is a race reference, not public-road navigation or permission to enter the course. Tap it to view the original detail.
